This quality abstract soapstone giraffe sculpture depicts a family of 4. Hand carved from Shona soapstone, a malleable material, by skilled craftsmen in Zimbabwe. The overall shape of our soapstone family giraffe carving is similar to a figure '6'. The tallest abstract giraffe has its slightly tilted head directly above the curve where its body begins. The female's head and body is in a similar position but curving round from the opposite side. The 2 abstract soapstone giraffe calves are crossing their neck over, forming an open circle between their heads.
